Located in the heart of the historic centre of the city of Mahón, on the island of Menorca, Can Albertí is a charming and luxurious residence built by the Albertí family in 1740. Part of the historical and cultural heritage of the city, this place, which represents the architecture of the Enlightenment of Mahón in the British period, has experienced an intense artistic life under the impulse of different members of the Albertí family. The boutique hotel has recently been completely refurbished and now houses 14 rooms that combine a refined and elegant Menorcan style with the most modern comforts. Numerous artistic and cultural activities are regularly held here.

Can Alberti 1740 Boutique Hotel works with criteria of sustainability and ecology, as well as eliminating all single-use plastics and offering its guests tea in bulk instead of in sachets at breakfast and sugar in lumps in bulk, in order to reduce the massive use of plastic. 

Also, to encourage conscious use among their guests, they offer free water to all their guests during their stay in refillable glass bottles, and in collaboration with the Menorca Preservation Foundation, they have designed refillable thermos flasks that can be purchased at the hotel facilities and with an annual financial donation, they contribute to the conservation of the island. They are certified as Plastic Free Balearics and Biosphere Reserve.

Ses Bruixes Boutique Hotel is located in a house whose history dates back to the early 19th century.
16 rooms spread over two buildings on the same pavement, where you can live the experience of staying in a historic Mahon manor house from 1811, in a big way, because both the rooms and the bathrooms are huge due to the fact that they were adapted to the existing rooms, alcoves and halls respecting the original architectural and ornamental elements. The perfect balance between history and modern comfort.
In addition, there is a large lounge-library with a fireplace to make you feel at home. Our Cafè & Restaurant is open to the public and its inner courtyard of orange trees is the perfect setting for breakfast, brunch or dinner in a magical atmosphere with chandeliers and candlelight if you want to be outside. In cold weather they serve their guests in the interior dining room, a wonderful modernist style room or in the lounge-library next to the fireplace.

Perched on a hill, Son Granot is a 19th century country estate with views wherever you look. The tranquillity of the countryside, its extensive flowering gardens and proximity to everything make it a very comfortable and versatile holiday destination.
It is made up of gardens, fields, woods, a large covered threshing floor, the old cattle sheds, a cistern, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a path that surrounds the whole estate and the marvellous main house from the end of the 19th century.

In the heart of Ciutadella, two steps away from the church of San Francisco, a small stone building, Marosi Boutique Hotel, is born. A hotel for adults only.

Marosi has completely eliminated single-use plastics and promotes local produce... They have an osmosis system so guests can refill reusable bottles, offer bulk infusions and coffee beans. They also have a BEACH KIT so guests don't have to think about buying umbrellas.

At Nure apartments their main objective is to raise customer awareness not only to reduce the use of plastic, but also to promote the reuse of any material that can be reused. They believe that the key to protecting the planet lies in reducing waste. That is why:

 

• They use coffee machines without mono-doses

• They offer reusable and returnable glass water bottles in the apartments.

• They do not use plastic key rings for flat keys, which are made of wood.

• All signage is made of wood collected from the sea or recycled from wine crates.

• Plastic/iron lights have been replaced by locally produced (Ciutadella) stone lights.

• Removal of single-use products and installation of large-format refillable dispensers.

• Tables on the terraces of the flats have been replaced by tables made of very durable material with stainless steel feet.

With the firm determination to protect the natural environment in Menorca, SOM Menorca has implemented a series of actions to eliminate the consumption of all single-use plastics. They also offer all their guests a recycled cotton bag so that they can do their shopping in recommended establishments which offer zero-kilometre products or can use it to go to the beach or on excursions. They have also eliminated the use of more than 2,000 industrial plastic bags per year in the transport of linen, replacing them with cloth bags and using biodegradable and environmentally friendly cleaning products. They also have a PRAP (Beachwear Reuse Point) available to customers to encourage the reuse of these items and when they are damaged, they take care of the correct recycling.
